eduFire: What happens when classrooms are replaced by learning ecologies?

    I agree with this whole heartedly. While homeschooling I think I have learned more from my kids/students than they have learned from me.

    Kids just love to show what they know. There's just no end to creativity when you're a kid, when the world is full of wonder.

    Children naturally use this learning instinct, and we hope (against hope sometimes) that by the time they emerge from the traditional k-12 environment that they haven't lost it.

    Returning to this innate curiosity about the world is what fascinates me about learning. The idea that once you've learnt all you have to learn about a subject, there are countless more subjects to turn to, each with their own particular points of interest and so on, ad infinitum.

    Social learning and collaborative tools are at the centre of this revolution.
